04/27/25 Delaware

Chad Asel 1st, Glen Cronley 2nd, Don Ratcliff 3rd, Virgil Grant Big Bass

Trophy Bassmaster’s second tournament of the year was held on Delaware Reservoir near Columbus on Sunday, April 27. 2025. The weather cooperated again and there were clear skies and low winds. The catch rates did not reflect the good weather day as the 11 anglers brought in only 25 keeper bass of at least 12”. Total weight was 49.82 lbs. All were released alive. Chad Asel was the best of the group with 3 bass that weighed 9.20 pounds. This was Chad’s second win with the club since he won Lake Loramie last May. Glen Cronley weighed in the only 5 bass limit for 2nd place.  Cronley’s creel totaled 8.32 lbs.  Third place was Don Ratcliff who finished 2nd place in the last tournament. Ratcliff had 4 bass that weighed 7.08 lbs.  Finally, Virgil Grant took lunker honors with a decent largemouth that weighed 5.03 lbs in addition to securing 4th place.  It is interesting that Virgil’s point total was higher than Ratcliff’s because of the big bass points earned.  Make sure to check out all the contestants on our new website with all the information about this tournament as well as archived info about the club going back to the year 2000.
