A troup of 16 Trophy Bassmasters of Kenton traveled over 2 hours one way to fish the Detroit River. Conditions were mild with overcast skies all day and cooler temperatures for July.
Steve Ganger collected the first-place trophy for the first time this year and moved into a tie for fifth place overall with Virgil Grant. Boyd Downey claimed the runner-up spot with a Big Bass that weighed 4.77 pounds. Virgil Grant took 3rd place to tie Steve Ganger for AOY fifth place. The race is on to the finish for several club members with a chance at the top spot this year.
