Big Bass 4.06#
The Trophy Bassmasters traveled to the West Harbor Boat Access located between Port Clinton and Sandusky to fish their 14th tournament this year. This leaves only 4 tournaments remaining this year for the Angler of the Year race. Boyd Downey made a move to 2nd place and has tied Kelly Dearwester. Don Ratcliff was unable to finish the day due to trolling motor issues, but still holds a solid 15 point lead.
Glen Cronley rose to the occasion and won his second contest this season with a 5 bass limit of 12 pounds. Bert Grubbs finished a close second place with 11.61 pounds. Steve Ganger caught another nice limit of 5 bass with 10.59 pounds. John Massara only caught 2 fish, but one was 4.06 pounds for Big Bass Honors.
Congratulations to everyone on a successful tournament. All 49 bass were returned alive which is a great feat with water temperatures in the low 80’s for the entire tournament. It shows that fish care is important to our club as we strive for 100 percent live release.
