Special thanks to Hannah Flowers donated $100 to the club to be used for Big Bass for this event.
The 2026 Bob Flowers Memorial Classic was held at Lake Erie as usual. The tournament began with a moment of silence in remembrance of Bob Flowers. This year we launched from the Mazurik Boat Access in Marblehead. Again, the weather cooperated to make a comfortable day for fishing and very difficult for catching. With light southwest winds over half the boats traveled the short trip to the islands in search of smallmouth. The big bass for the day was a 4.79 lb smallie caught by Boyd Downey.
Virgil Grant trailer to a nearby tributary to capture first place. Steve Ganger did not waste much fuel to catch his 5 fish limit in 15 minutes at 2:15 PM. Chad Thrush was third. Kelly Dearwester took fourth place and Chad Asel finished fifth.
