St Clair Winners 6/28/26

On June 28, 2026, the Trophy Bass Masters returned to the waters of Lake St. Clair, MI.
This was the second of 2 one-day events held this weekend. The previous day event had the fish in a non-cooperative mood. The smallmouth bass that everyone came for were in a “funk.” Bites were few, catch weights low.
Sunday proved to be more of the same tough fishing. Many resorted to pursuing largemouth to fill out their five fish limits. BUT Don Ratcliff “Cracked the Code” with five smallmouth bass weighing 18.13 pounds to capture first place. Virgil Grant finished second, followed by Bert Grubbs in third.
The AOY Race is tightening up with Don passing Bert to take second place. July 5th will find Trophy Bass Masters at Lake Loramie. Follow us next week for the results.
