The 13th Trophy Bassmasters’ tournament is in the books and was held to honor our departed brother Terry Wymer. Also remember to keep Don Kraft in your prayers. Boyd Downey notified the club by text that Don was placed on Hospice following a recent hospitalization.
The weather cooperated to give everyone a pleasant day of fishing, and 8 limits of fish were brought to the scales. The Detroit River was very clear as usual and fish were scattered throughout the day. The top 3 places were decided by a few ounces and were all over 14 pounds in total! Larry Pennington caught a 3.01 pound bass to qualify for our Heavy Hitter’s tournament.
Mike Johnson won his 2nd tournament of the season with a net weight of 14.77 lbs. Steve Gange took 2nd place and Dave Morlock finished in 3rd place. Virgil Grant took Big Bass honors with a respectable 4.01 pound smallmouth.
