Don Kraft passed away on Saturday, July 18th. More information will be posted on our website for funeral arrangements as soon as they are available.

Next Club Meeting

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026 at 7pm at the Kenton Masonic Temple.

We are fishing 2 club tournaments in September as well as the Heavy Hitters fun tournament.

Since the Classic is scheduled before our regular October meeting final details will be discussed at our September meeting.

Remember you have to fish at least 6 club tournaments to be eligible to fish in the Classic on October 4th.

You will need $55 pay for 2 tournaments (@$15) and the Classic (@$20) you will need $50 plus $5 optional big bass for the Classic.

Our last point tournament will count towards this year’s AOY race.

Trophy Bassmasters stayed close to home with their 14th club tournament of the year on Sunday. Weather conditions were comfortable for August on Indian Lake. An 80 boat BFL tournament was held on Saturday before our tournament, but they left several nice fish for our club.

Cody Barker was able to fish his first tournament of the year with the club and displayed his talent for catching greenbacks fishing as a co-angler with Logan Barker. His big bass of 4.58 anchored a 9.97# bag that would have won 8th place on Saturday in the BFL.

Glen Cronley took 2nd place and Boyd Downey 3rd place.

We are fishing 3 tournaments in August and the Classic in October since it is scheduled before the regular club meeting on October 7th.

The first one on August 6 is the Heavy Hitters Tournament and the entry fees, boat numbers and location have already been decided.

We will discuss 3 additional tournaments at that meeting.

1 The Steve Barker Memorial will be held on September 13 at Lake Erie.

2 Alum Creek is scheduled for September 27.

3 This year’s Bob Flowers Memorial Classic is scheduled on October 4th. Starting position will be determined by your current rank in this year’s AOY standings. We also need to pick the ramp and start times.

Results for Lake Loramie

Trophy Bassmasters stayed close to home this holiday weekend to fish the 12th club tournament of the 2026 season at Lake Loramie. The weather cooperated, but the fish did not. Two members were able to collect a 5 bass limit.

Don Ratcliff won back-to-back tournaments with this win and jumped into first place in the Angler of the Year race beating Virgil Grant who held this spot most of the year. Don also earned big bass with a nice 2.26 pound bass.

Larry Pennington caught the only other limit to finish close behind Don, while Boyd Downey caught 3 for 3rd place.
